Hello, I’m Maddie!
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite untangle. You might be used to carrying everything on your own, overthinking constantly, masking how hard things feel, or struggling to feel fully understood by the people around you.
At Paisley Place Therapy, I offer a warm, affirming, and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, explore what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe and genuine.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. I’m passionate about creating a LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodivergent-inclusive space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood without needing to mask or explain themselves.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in authenticity. Together, we can explore the patterns and survival strategies that may have once protected you but no longer feel helpful, while building greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and connection.

FAQs
-
I work with individuals 14 years and older.
-
The number of sessions we’ll need really depends on your unique situation—your concerns, availability, and what feels manageable for you. I usually suggest starting with at least 8 sessions to give us a solid foundation. If we’re exploring deeper, long-standing patterns or past experiences, more time together might be helpful.
Ultimately, the longer you stay in therapy, the more opportunity there is for meaningful growth. We’ll talk through all of this in detail during our first appointment to find the best fit for you.
-
Sessions go for 50 minutes. If you require a longer consult, please let me know and I can advise of appropriate fees.
-
I completely understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice before your appointment time, a cancellation fee equal to the full session rate may apply.
This policy helps me keep things fair for everyone, including other clients who might have wanted that time slot. Thank you so much for your understanding and respect for this.

Yes, I can offer telehealth appointments. Please let me know if you would like to discuss telehealth options for your sessions.
-
Yes, I am able to provide Medicare rebates as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker through the Better Access Scheme for clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP. The Medicare rebate for sessions with MHSWs is $87.25.
